ever since carl falk got involved with electronic music due to the rich techno culture of sweden, he turned out to be an unstoppable pool of creativity. tough beats mixed with funky elements and basically any percussion from around the world, the mixture of elements creates firm tracks aimed at the dj and dance floor! all of this comes together in the banging a-side track called late night. on the flip we find the late night remix by no other than spilo label manager cave! he does his tricks, again, which turns his version into a late night prime time techno killer!

supported by: tom stephan, jerome sydenham, noir, atle, djuma soundsystem, patrick bateman.. we wanted to try something new. to let an outside artist provide the main track. the choice was pretty easy – it could only be danish sensation jack rock. he has been killing the big stages all over northern europe with his technically demanding live-sets. a university background in sound theory and interactive sound design means that his productions of post-minimal techno are brimming with interlacing tones and harmonic elements.

after 17 years of working together, tejada & leviste are back in the studio again putting their modular synths to good work. m tracks (m as in modular) features 4 analog workouts in varying styles. m track 1 features a melodic deep, yet driving track reminiscent of the duos best known work. m track 2 and 3 showcase a trackier sound focusing on basic elements while m track 4 turns in a much more experimental direction. the approach to this ep was a very fun, hands on process. analog sequencers are used to drive the various modular synths and their components. this process allowed for a more organic feel as the unstable electronics change over time as well as the manual changing of parameters over time. systems used include doepfer and frostwave sequencers, and modular systems consisting of cwejman, doepfer, harvestman and bananalogue modules. analog drum machines aided in the rhythms, however m track 3 was generated from pure modular hardware including the drums.

dan is a german producer and dj with impeccable taste. previous output for highgrade has been superb and he has some amazing stuff due to drop on moon harbour (where he takes care of promotions in fine style) so hairy claw have handpicked him for the first release of 2008. deep, groovy and with just the right amount of drive, xibeca is a mordern house cut of the highest order. supernature and tsuba artists bearweasel take the techier elements of dans original and twist them into a flowing techhouse cut too - so theres something for the heavier crowds too. there are big things afoot with hairy claw, we ll keep you posted.
